I was quite surprised to learn that this was a photomanipulation- it looks incredibly digital-painterly! Kudos to you, to be able to manipulate a normal photo to this level is a clear sign of mastery over your tools and techniques.
There are more reasons as to why this piece doesn't feel like a photomanipulation, however. The usage of set pieces (for example, the ornament on the foreground) as well as proper composition of the model all works together to create a fictional setting, not just another typical photos shot by many other amatuer artists. The preparation and care that went into this clearly show that you had a great vision for your piece, which in turn make this piece that much more impactful.
While the concept of fairy may not be original, other thought that went into this piece, such as the color, composition, etc, all gets a high grade on originality.
Overall, this is a great photomanipulation piece that really comes close to the vision that you had in the artist's head, which largely comes from experiences. All I can say is- keep up the great work! Make people happy!
What can I say about this picture, except for wow and stunning. I would never have guessed that it was a photo manipulation picture. It looks like it has been done digitally or heck it would even pass as a real painting; at least to me it would.
I myself don't do photo manipulations because I don't know how and because it sounds like it's hard to; which is why when I find a picture that has been manipulated I can appreciate what the artist went through to get it done perfectly.
I love fantasy artwork and those delicate fairy or pixie(whichever you prefer) wings look so real. The picture itself looks real. As if you could reach out and touch it.
So, yes I'll be adding your picture to my favorites.
